2. Now they are interested and are getting out of the car and walking to the front door!

  • Front door should be cleaned or freshly painted.
  • Any windows at front door area should be sparkling clean, as well as the window ledge.
  • New Welcome Mat is very appealing.
  • Walkways and driveway have of course, been swept.
  • Make certain door bell/knocker work.
  • Replace front door handle if necessary to be in good working order, nothing like the Realtor having to jiggle a door handle, or worse, kicking the door to get it open.
  • Clean light fixture and have a bright bulb in. Get rid of any birds trying to nest there, or if there are already baby birds there and you don’t have the heart to move the nest, keep the bird droppings cleaned up off the light fixture when clients are arriving. This happened to us and we just had to leave a note to not let the bird fly in when front door was opened.
  • Please make certain you (or other family member) have picked up any dog poop from yard.
