Clean the Basement and Garage

 

• Keep area clean and uncluttered. Hang up/put away tools.
• Repair any cracks in wall and repaint.
• Make certain area around water heater is clear. Clean dusty or rusty water heater.
• Furnace should be clean and surrounding area well lit. Clean or change the filter as prospective homeowners or inspector will want to look closely.
• Lubricate/adjust/repair garage door opener.
• Adjust tension rod to eliminate sag from overhead garage door.
• Remove oil/paint stains from floor.
• Clear away any cobwebs, mouse traps.
