Places to go in Maplewood
Our new office is in Maplewood, and over the last few weeks have had great opportunities to explore some of the businesses around here. Our block of Manchester, between Sutton and Marshall, is very busy and arguably one of the coolest areas of St. Louis county, let alone Maplewood.
El Scorcho – Great Mexican food, excellent Salsa that is the perfect taste and consistency, and a top notch Spinach salad. They have these homemade croutons that are very tasty. Sorry but I have to say pass on the Taco Bar and go for something off the menu. The staff is very friendly and seems to be taking well to the new Hermann London agents that are starting to frequent this place for lunch.
Jimmy Johns – Everyone loves Jimmy Johns, and I am very happy to have one right down the street from us on Manchester. I have to personally recommend the “Slim 3″ and happy to say they carry salt and vinegar chips. Whenever we have some quickly approaching real estate business to take care of, I can always run to JJ’s for a quick sandwich.
Rich’s Hair Salon - A weird way to judge this place, but for the first time in my life I answered my phone while getting a hair cut, upon Rich’s suggestion. Good place to get a new do, and fair prices.
Tiffanies Diner – What can I say about Tiffanies. Good food, great employees. The spectacle is when one of their women workers is in there, and serving every dish with a main course of attitude. A fresh twist on the standard slinger, Tiffanies offers a “Ying Yang” which adds gravy to the old standard.
Boogaloo – Our office is 3 doors to the right of Boogaloo, so its not uncommon to hold an after hours meeting here. Great drink selection, and a very cool ambiance. The swings, the decor… its all very fresh and fun.
J & E Office City – Not necessarily a “Fun Place to go” but a great business nonetheless. Call Matt, he will come to you! We get the majority of our office supplies from these guys, and they are great to work with
