Judd and Lynn of the Get Real Real-estate podcasts

This episode starts with introductions and talking a little about the weekend and how they spent it.  They also give instructions on how to get the episodes and join their fan club. They then give a preview of what the episode is about, which is short sales and the interview with Ben Pargman, who they do short sale deals with and have done in the past.

They follow this up with answering some questions from some of the listener mail.  The first question comes from a guy named Steve who is an investor who focuses on multi-family properties. His question is about Self Directed IRA’s, 1) How can he find out about how good a trust company is and 2) How can he use his Self Directed IRA for down payment.  The next question is from Aaron, who is a sub contracted but wants to know where to start to work for himself in Real-estate.

Next they get into the interview with Ben Pargman.  I think this is just more of an update from a previous interview on the beginnings of a short sale.  Ben begins telling about how his company works and how he relates to his customers and lenders.  He goes over details of dealing with the bank and bargaining with them.  Then they get into what to do with the property once you have it.  Whether it be  keeping the house and renting it out, selling it right away, or a mixture of the 2, there are many options to go by.
