St. Louis Real Estate SearchThe Tower Grove South neighborhood is an eclectic neighborhood full of life and renewal. The proximity to the magnificent Tower Grove Park, the fantastic Grand Ave and great access to any where in town, make this neighborhood a desired location for all types of people. Tower Grove South boasts local businesses new and old.  The neighborhood association is active and promotes the neighborhood well.   The business districts in TGS include Kingshighway, Morganford and Grand Ave. There are lots of businesses in nestled in the streets of TGS. TGS’ boundary is Arsenal (Tower Grove Park), Kingshighway, Chippewa, South Grand. Within Tower Grove South is a smaller community called Tower Grove Heights. It’s a 12 block area with an active Neighborhood Association.  Some people even still refer to another area of Tower Grove South as Oak Hill. There are lots of references to Oak Hill – street and businesses. There is a great mix of single family homes, apartments and multi-use buildings. A lot of the homes have gone through a major renovation to bring the technology of today into the Historic homes of the past. TGS boats prices for affordable first time homes to large stately homes and reasonably priced apartments.
      From January 1, 2010 through September 7, 2010, the average home price in the Tower Grove South Neighborhood was $120,212. The highest sold home in TGS was $483,000. The homes range in square foot size from 700 sq feet to over 3000 sq feet. That’s quite a difference. This neighborhood has something for everyone! The multifamily homes in TGS are also a hot commodity.
