Crestwood is a mature suburban community in the desirable southwestern portion of St. Louis County.  Located in between two major highways, the city is easily reached from all directions. Several major state and county maintained arterial roadways bisect the city, providing additional traffic routes. One of these arteries, State Route 366, also known as Watson Road, is home to the city’s commercial shopping district. The city’s location near Interstate 44 provides easy access to downtown St. Louis and Lambert International Airport in under 30 minutes.

The city’s residential areas offer a wide selection of single-family housing, the majority of which was built in the mid to late 1960s. Located in stable, safe neighborhoods, these homes have consistently shown an impressive ability to maintain and increase their value as they age. In 1997, the City successfully annexed an additional 1,600 residents residing in an unincorporated area to the southeast. The City is also seeing an increase in “infill” subdivisions of five to ten housing units with market prices exceeding $300,000
