This little dive is perfect for any occasion.  The bartenders here are extremely friendly and will make you whatever you want.  Plus the drinks are incredibly cheap! Because of it’s location, it obviously has a great character and aesthetic that not many other places can recreate.  Which is why you must try them out!  Complete with a jukebox and a dartboard, you’re sure to find something to do.

Massa’s in Kirkwood has that great St. Louis Italian you crave at odd times.  The food is all good and the prices are reasonable, but what is truly memorable is the outdoor patio and location.  First of all Kirkwood has one the cutest little downtowns in St. Louis with all the shops and restaurants, and now we can gaze at all that while enjoying the breeze and eating yummy Italian.  And it’s open late, too!  But if you decide to go on the weekend, be prepared to wait, because it’s going to be crazy busy.

Café Provencal in Kirkwood has some of the best French food in St. Louis.  They serve simple yet amazing lunches and dinners, but beware they are closed from 2-5 for cleaning, baking, resetting etc. Cute right?  Plus they are open late everyday of the week instead of just the weekends.  And the bread they serve before the meals is incredible.  Everyone nowadays offers rolls or breadsticks, but this is crusty, salty, delicious French bread served warm.  And they have an extensive, affordable wine list to go with that tasty bread too.  Take advantage of a little France in St. Louis and check out Café Provencal in Kirkwood.

PJ’s is the place to be if you want a family friendly, laid back atmosphere.  For almost 15 years, they have been serving the local crowd.  There are all kinds of high school jerseys (probably from every St. Louis school) and tons yearbook photos on display.  Plus it’s completely kid friendly – there is a large non-smoking game room and dining room.  Or maybe you’d rather enjoy their outdoor patio or sports bar.  Wherever you eat, you’ll be greeted with hospitality and great food.

Pi is St. Louis’s first wonderful tasting deep dish pizza.  They have several different menu choices to make everyone in your group happy.  And President Obama had some when he was in St. Louis, and later when he was back in Chicago, he had it specially made! Dewey’s Pizza has an unlimited number of options and toppings for your pizza, including gourmet items like goat cheese.  The first stop to a great pizza is the sauce, and here you can change choose whether you want marinara or oil!  This is the place in St. Louis to get great pizza, salads, and calzones.  You’ll find great service and tasty food, but prepared, because it can get really packed for such a small establishment.  But what’s great is that all these people know about this little pizza place.  It draws in crowds from neighboring counties like Webster Groves and Des Peres, which adds to the cozy Kirkwood atmosphere.  And it’s become such a great spot in St. Louis, they’ve added another one in University City.

Citizen Kane’s Steakhouse is found in an adorable, converted Victorian house in Kirkwood.  This may be one of the only steakhouses in St. Louis where you will not feel forced to wear super classy clothes.  Instead they’ve created a comfortable, fine dining yet casual atmosphere. They are known for their impeccable service and award winning menu.  Excellent steaks, pork chops and other cuts of meat prepared exactly how you want it.  Plus they have toasted ravioli!  This Kirkwood steakhouse is a wonderful merging of casual, fine dining and St. Louis at its best.
