This historic restaurant has roots in the Wildwood area since 1929 when they were a restaurant and stay-cottage where tired travelers on Route 66 could stop and enjoy home cooking and a warm room to stay.  The size of the restaurant and cottages expanded as popularity for Big Chief grew until it became on the largest stay-cottages in the state!  Though the inside of the restaurant has been revamped, their made-from-scratch, hearty meals and generations-old recipes are still used today!
