MHDC is going to meet this Friday, December 18, to approve a new tax incentive for home buyers in 2010. As of now this is how the property tax credit to work.

To be eligible for the tax credit, your household income needs to be less than $95060 whether you have a household of 1 person or 10 people and you must have an accepted contract after January 1, 2010. MHDC will give you up to $1200 for your property taxes. You don’t have to wait until the end of the year for this money. After you close you can file a claim directly with MHDC and they will send you a check up to $1200 based on the 2009 property tax amount. ALSO….there is an additional $500 that you can receive for adding energy efficient products into your home within the first 60 days of purchasing your home.

Don’t miss the chance for $9700 of free money. There is only $15 million set aside in Missouri so the newest credit is a first come first serve basis. Don’t be a person to say that I could have….be a person to say that I DID RECEIVE $9700 of free money.
